February flight + hotel (6 nights) + car rental to Orlando - $512/person after tax
22
December
There's a really good deal to Orlando through Transat Holidays at the moment.
Try this:
1. Go to http://www.transatholidays.com
2. Click on 'Vacation packages'. Leaving from Halifax, going to Florida. Leaving on February 11th. Hit Search.
3. You'll see the Continental Plaza Hotel package come up for $492/person after tax, but it gets pretty bad reviews on TripAdvisor.
The Best Western Lakeside is $512 though, and gets at least half decent reviews.
No matter what though, when you consider that the cheapest flight alone around this time is currently $500/person after tax, you're basically getting the hotel and car rental for free.

Very interesting ...
Tried 2 adults and the price came in good ... but tried 1 adult 1 kids and it went up big time ...
Hmmm that is interesting. It seems like the deal may be gone now anyways, it's coming out to $922/person after tax even for just 2 adults now.
For the future though, if something like this were to come up again, I wonder if you could just book the 2 children as adults.
I called Transat directly and it was a glitch on their website. Just had to call directly and book. I booked 1 adult and 1 child and th price was $1024 taxes in.
