WestJet has dropped the price of their flights from Halifax to Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Amsterdam, and Spain down to between $390 and $590 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights are nonstop both ways.

Dublin, Ireland (DUB) - August and September dates are $383 to $462 roundtrip.
Edinburgh, Scotland (EDI) - Dates in June, August, September, and October for $563 roundtrip.
London, England (LGW) - Dates in October for $548 to $569 roundtrip.
Paris, France (CDG) - Not currently cheap.
Amsterdam, Netherlands (AMS) - June, late August, and September dates are available for $509 to $551 roundtrip.
Barcelona, Spain (BCN) - Late August and September dates are available for $452 to $595 roundtrip.
